The adventure simply could not happen with the continued support of a group of wonderful, caring and giving people.

The participants, under the Event rules, must provide their own bike, with a purchase price of less than $1,000.00 (AUD). It must also be roadworthy and registered to ride on the roads of Australia. Alternatively, they may ride with a valid Unregistered Vehicle Permit – UVP. For more information on rules and regulations click here to visit the Scrapheap Adventure Ride website.

The Support Crew

Just as it would be impossible for this adventure to happen without the riders, there is another very important bunch of people that help to make it all happen… with the least amount of trouble.

Our intrepid band of volunteers on this trip were as detailed below, arranged in no particular order of importance, as everyone will have their own spin on this we are sure.

Driver: Ken Russ

This was the second time Ken has fronted up for the challenge of keeping the crew fed and beds provided.

Apparently, the riders prefer their beds to be dry and cozy. Which in this instance proved to be quite the challenge.

Driver: Mark Everitt

This is not Mark’s first Scrapheap adventure, and he is well suited for the job.

His calm demeanour, and accuracy with both handgun and rifle, :), make him the perfect person to pilot the beer wagon.

I am sure I heard from a few people this was the designated, most important vehicle on the trip.

Driver: Kev (Bogger)

Kevin was making his debut on this trip.

Hopefully he enjoys it enough to want to come back again!
